Having a wedding is an exciting time for any couple’s life.
Since it signifies the start of their lives together as husband and wife, they
need to go through with all the traditional events in the wedding ceremony and
reception. As such, the need to plan the wedding details carefully arises,
particularly the key parts of the wedding such as the exchange of vows, first
kiss, cake cutting, and the first dance.
When it comes to the first dance, it is important to choose
a song that relates to your relationship as a couple. Especially since there
are plenty of different songs to choose from, you need to go through with some
of your options and decide the one that best speaks to you and your fiancé.
Another way you can choose your first dance song is to go for
the commonly used ones. While there are the obvious favorites (like the ones on
our previous blog
post), there are some songs that are new and have not been used as much. At
the same time, you may also follow the songs used by celebrity couples during
their first dance. Here are some of these songs:
Nick Lachey + Vanessa Minnillo – A Kiss to Build a Dream On
by Steve Tyrell
Drew Barreymore + Will Kopelman – No One’s Gonna Love You by
Band of Horses
Mark Zuckerberg + Priscilla Chan – Last Night on Earth by
Green Day
Joel Madden + Nicole Richie – What a Wonderful World by
Louis Armstrong
Carrie Underwood + Mike Fisher – Love Never Fails by Brandon
Heath
Tom Cruise + Katie Holmes – Songbird by Fleetwood Mac
Beyonce + Jay-Z – Crazy In Love by Beyonce and Jay-Z
David Beckham + Victoria Adams – It Had To Be You by The
Starlight Orchestra
President Barack Obama + Michelle Robinson – You and I by
Stevie Wonder
Kate Middleton + Prince William – Your Song by Elton John
(performed by Ellie Goulding)
Which of these songs would you want to use for your own
first dance? Let us know in the comments below! You can also give us a call so we can talk about
your other options.

ReplyDeleteI really loved the unique wedding decorations at the ceremony that we just attended at San Francisco venues. I am definitely going to try those ideas in my wedding party. Hey, could you help me by recommending some 60s décor inspirations?
