The right song will keep everyone happy

Whatever the crowd may be, you as the bride and groom have the final say on what to play and what NOT to play.

As the night progresses the dj should know the proper protocol to either slow the crow down with a slow song or wake the guests up with some popular main stream music that’s heard today.

You can never go wrong with popular artists like Micheal Jackson, Beyonce Frank Sinatra and Lady Gaga. This seems like the whole entire specter and well, it is. Mixing certain music at certain times gives chances for guests that may not be so inclined to dance the night away to showcase some of their moves with the songs of their choice.

Lets be honest, if you didnt have music at your wedding, well the reception could be a bit “dry”. Not to say, limited music is not bad, it’s just music is such a staple at a wedding that you want it to be powerful and offering choices to your guests.

Step 1: Try to think of songs that you know you absolutly want played at your wedding.
Step 2: Branch off of that one song and think of alternatives that are familiar to sound.

Say you love Frank Sinatra but only want a few songs of his, try to consider some basic jazz songs for your cocktail hour that may sound like Frank but has the ora of his songs.

You want to dance the night away to a few Lady Gaga songs, but don't want it to become a  GAGA concert, think of music that could possibly be comparable to hers.

Its all in the way the dj transitions these songs and in what time. Remember next time you meet with your dj, talk about possible alternatives to the songs you love and you'd be surprised of what they would have in their dj database!

Happy music planning!

Throw Caution to the Wind!!!

Throw caution to the wind in every way possible at your wedding, unless of course you absolutely need some traditional parts in place, otherwise, let loose!  What do we mean by that, well it's YOUR WEDDING, yes your wedding, do what makes you feel comfortable and follow through.

It's one night to lavish in an evening of matrimony and bliss, so give your guests a pallet of personalized food, entertainment, decor and fashion. Check out some excellent food ideas that will whoa your guests.

Food can be tricky because one can worry so much about which cateror is the best in your area. Listen, you are paying big bucks to host your wedding, so feed your guest only the best and don't feel ashamed to taste test as many options as possible. You'd be surprised, some caterers will allow you to sneak some bits behind the scenes at their events rather than formally sitting down.

Entertainment is generally a DJ or live band. Brides will opt for the DJ for the reception and have live music for cocktail hour. Choose a DJ that meshes with you and your fiancĂ© and form a positive report before you just go out and hire a him or her.  Get to know your DJ and see if your a match. Ask to visit some weddings they may be at and become a wallflower and see if their the right fit.

Decor and fashion are show stoppers at your wedding! No bride wants their wedding to be known as "good" or "nice". You want "omg their wedding was awesome". If you want to give your bridesmaids the option to grab their own dress but be monochromatic, thats awesome, its becoming more popular these days to allow such an enclitic array of dresses.

A running trend is finding unique venues to tie the knot. Barns, fields, beaches, homes and universities are just a few places brides are taking advantage of for the venue.

YOLO......make your wedding a night to remember and go all out. Remember "it's your night, so lets do it right"!

See Your Name in Lights with a Personalized Monogram!

Your wedding day is all about you, and you want everything to be as special as possible. One excellent addition to any wedding day is to see your name in lights. With gobo lighting, this is an easy task.

Gobo lighting projects a pattern or design. For your wedding, this can be your name and the date, a pair of hearts, or any other design that fits your theme. This can then be projected onto any wall, dance floors,  or any other flat surface.  After all, anyone can have the same decor, but only you will have gobo lighting!

Gobos are also ideal for your first dance wedding photos. Having your name projected on the dance floor as you dance for the first time as husband and wife will look beautiful in your photos and video.

You don’t need to be a lighting expert to have these features at your wedding, though. Elite Entertainment can bring custom gobo lighting to your Central Florida wedding as part of your wedding package.

To find out more about custom lighting options including gobos, or to book us for your big day, give us a call today!
